Hello,

Nice to meet you. I am Lia. Please come in… I know you don’t have much time so I will make this quick.

By day, I am a data engineer. For ten years, I’ve been moving data from one place to another safely, diligently, seamlessly. I've been deciphering product-owner lingo and translating it into engineer talk, trying to understand how the businesses I've had the privilege of working for tick, and how I can make them tick a little bit smoother.

By night, I’m an amateur writer, wannabe director, loss-making producer, brute-force gardener, subpar piano player, and full-time starter of books, part-time finisher.

This site contains anything that momentarily colonises my brain. Sometimes that's data, sometimes it's a movie I can't stop thinking about, a song stuck on loop, a painting I stood in front of for too long, or a thought that arrived uninvited at 2 a.m. and refused to leave. Sometimes it's my grandmother's village, which I'll write about more than any algorithm would recommend, and I'm fine with that.

There's no theme here, or rather the theme is me, paying attention. If you're looking for a tidy niche blog with a content strategy, I have bad news and a warm welcome.

I hope to see you around.

Toodaloo φίλη/φίλε μου,

Αποστο(Lia)

I Have Thoughts.

I write about anything I like.

And I like a lot of things.
